The Panamanian economy is still going strong: from March to June 2008 the Panamanian economy grew at a rate of 8.2%. Much of the growth was in the construction sector. The bad news is that the rate of inflation increased dramatically in the same period: 8.7%. The growth is lower than the growth rate from a year ago: one year ago growth was at 10.4%. Still Panama is growing.
